iTunes Review

After the nervous electro-quirk of Metronomy's Nights Out, is it any wonder that Joseph Mount opted for a beach holiday? A masterpiece of modern yacht rock, The English Riviera cribs studio moves from Steely Dan, unfurling sparkling guitars and keys against an inky-black backdrop of empty space. The catchy songwriting, meanwhile, is more in keeping with genial British mopers like The Smiths and Hot Chip. It's the perfect record for a day at the shore—especially if it's raining.

Excellent album for the Summer!!!

Still kind of discovering Metronomy after stumbling across Nights Out.

I loved Nights Out but this is in a different league! Love all the tracks but ones which are defo worth a listen are The Look, She Wants, The Bay and Corinne.

Definately the soundtrack of my summer :-) Happy listening!

Epically subtle brilliance

Amazing heartfelt electronic/indie music. Brings a warmth that no other band can bring. You need this album in your collection.

Great new sound

I am a big fan of this new album, I was a little worried about the new line up. But the album is great and it feels like it will grow on me more and more
