Old and New

'The Captain' is a great track and 'Help Me Be Captain' is the raw, unrefined version of the song which should appeal to older Biffy fans who appreciated their more experimental era.

The last two tracks are good too with 'Once an Empire' containing some very interesting lyrics at the start and 'Party On' being slightly reminiscent of Simon Neil's side project Marmaduke Duke.

Overall all tracks are easily worth buying but I'd especially recommend the first two.

A perfect example of the new biffy, a combination of their old and new styles. In my opinion: Vertigo mixed with Puzzle. Don't hesitate.

Two Shades Of Biffy Clyro

'The Captain' and 'Help Me Be Captain' represent the development Biffy have come through. From raw beginnings to polished songwriting they have consistantly been on the top of their game.

As always they've produced some top quality B-sides, showing their genius within the music scene. Roll on the tour and the 9th of November.
