They just get better and better

Still haunted by Vic Reeves' pub singer, but nevertheless the Sticks are just getting better and better; Stuart Staples solo albums were as good as any of the previous Tindersticks albums and this equals those two solo 2006 releases. The best tracks here are actually the final 3, but I favor the meloncholic sad ones. I also recommend 'Back To Earth', the 'b side' of the Hungry Saw single. Just wish the LP sleeve was more in keeping with classic Tinderstick sleeves.

A complete record

This is a wonderful record. That rare thing these days, a complete, rounded long-player. All the songs fit beautfully together. I'd dare anyone to really listain to it and not want to play the whole thing. Thank you Tindersticks. I'm ashamed to say i'd given up on you. Majestic.

a most welcome return

of course i enjoyed the S. Staples lps, but this new lp seems a little more fully realized... 5 stars... welcome back.
