Jack Wall's soundtrack for Mass Effect 1 was something else. Combining Vangelis-esque synths with fantastic orchestral sequences, the OST was original, inventive and complimented every aspect of the games design, setting and scope.

Now, Mass Effect 2's soundtrack bests that. It's epic, and at times even inspirational. It has variations of the signature theme music cleverly woven into most of the tracks. PLus, it doesn't derive too vastly from the OST for the first game.

It fits with the darker scheme of the second game, and establishes every ounce of tension with the most pure sound I've ever heard.

Do yourself a favour: Buy this. Do it now.

There is not a note, or synth effect within the entire album that is incorrect. Everything just blends together to give you the emotions that it is trying to achieve, but the best thing is that its not even trying, its just written into the pieces so effectively.

Along with the original this just builds upon the already in place music and fills it out perfectly. Absolutely awesome work.

Mass Effect 2...It just gets better

Wow, the original was an awesome peice of music by Jack Wall; having a blend of Bladerunner and it's own thing. This album just excells in everything the original had. Although, Jack should be given some credit in the tags....Should'nt he?
