A wonderfully varied playlist, expertly arranged and beautifully delivered. You really must check this out. I think we'll be hearing a lot more from these guys in the next couple of years. From Thomas Tallis to Imogen Heap - genius!
About The Queen's Six
The Queen's Six is a British vocal sextet consisting of male vocalists. The group was formed in 2008, and was named in celebration of the 450th anniversary of the accession of Elizabeth I. Based in Windsor Castle, the singers are lay clerks of St. George's Chapel, and perform at religious services and state functions for the royal family. They also give public performances of their wide repertoire, which ranges from Gregorian chant and Renaissance madrigals, to modern arrangements of jazz and pop standards. Members of the group have at various times performed with other vocal ensembles, such as Tenebrae, the BBC Singers, the Cardinall’s Musick, Collegium Vocale Gent, the Gabrieli Consort, and the Tallis Scholars. The Queen's Six have recorded for Resonus.
