Never let her slip away!

Well what can you say. "never let her slip away" has to be one of the all time feel good love songs from the seventies. Heard it first when I was 10 and it still makes me smile. A real joy to have in your heart and head. Wish I'd written it. :)

The Spence Manor Suite

I've recently found this album...and it's a classic in its own right...! Andrew Gold has been truly underrated ~ he is an extremely versatle songwriter and performer. OK, some of his music I can put to one side, however, this album is superb. Starting with 'Never hold a candle to love', a beaty rock love song, the lyrics will take you back to your youth (you know exactly what he's on about) and the song is one of those that's still ringing in your head hours later...a real foot-tapper. There is hardly a poor track on the album and it is wonderful to have this to play. Whilst 'Love made me do it', 'Over my Head', 'Hypothetically' and a couple of others, tend to mimic other (60's/70's) artists styles, the songs are original (I believe) and are great fun. The rest of the album is for you to cherish. Thank you, Andrew....more please...!
