Santo Spirito Blue by Chris Rea

I'm sorry - but I just don't get you any more Chris. As a fan from years back I think you've over-indulged on the blues and forgotten that you actually had a fan base who liked your earlier stuff. Love the Wired to the Moon album and Deltics - this is nonsense in comparison. It's all gone Pete Tong since God's Great Banana Skin - I think you must have slipped and forgotten to get back up! I'd love to come and see you again on your next tour, but am concerned that you'll just play your new stuff like you have done the past few times I've seen you. Where are the September Blues, the Seabirds and the Chisel Hill's on this album? Little gems of album tracks that just absolutely drill a hole in your heart. Maybe it's because I'm a girl...just not really into being force fed the blues.

An Album to please All Rea fans

Rea left the band and recorded the album Whatever Happened to Benny Santini?, which alluded to a discarded stage name, which went...
