Pop Classics

Step back to the 80s when pop music was filled with individuals like Annie and Dave who could make it to the top without the help of talent shows or music moguls. Her voice is one of the finest in popular music and Dave remains one of the best producers of popular song. British eccentricity at its best that produced memorable imagery. The cool production coupled with the soaring and dynamic vocals made them the most succesful male and female duo of all time. Listen to the album and you'll understand why. From dance, soul, ballads, a duet with the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, and harmonica backing supplied by Stevie Wonder, this collection of songs remains in a class of its own. They made it to the top with the help of two qualities in short supply these days: talent and perseverance. This is music to move you and make you tap your feet. Every i-pod index should have this title in it.

Originally, the duo channelled the eerily detached sound of electronic synthesizer music...
