Set in a fantastical place that exists between waking and sleeping, In the Night Garden features sights and sounds that are almost otherworldly. They’re certainly magical. The Pinky Ponk’s beeps, Makka Pakka’s bleepy baby talk, the Pontipines’ squeaks and the Tombliboos’ squeals are complemented by softened circus-themed music. The result is an ethereal, soothing soundtrack. Despite all the literal bells and whistles, the sound is subdued, making it versatile enough to take kids from playtime to naptime and all points in between.
