What have you come to expect from Carl Barat? Everything he touches seems to have something about it that makes it special. This, the first release from Romance At Short Notice, is no exception. Whist this is by no means the strongest track on the album, it does seem an appropriate choice of single due to it's catchy hooks and clever lyrics. Songs about England are not uncommon these days, but this surpasses the rest with style.

great song, great band,

this song is a great follow up too waterloo to anywhere, cant wait for romance at short notice. saw them live a couple of weeks ago, where amazing. forget carl being in petes limelight, he has fresh new songs, which are absolutely amazing, :) and his and didz energy live is mad, and exciting, just buy it. (:

It was striking with the realease of Bang Bang Your Dead as the first single by Dirty Pretty Things how edgy first album dirty pretty things were. Sadly for the second album it appears sand paper has been applied as Tired of England appears to contain about as much bite as a tootless baby who's lack of presicion comes directly from a serious ear infection. It is not a bad track but is so washed over it takes away any sort of grit and thus truly passes by. i hope the album is better than this.
