True new talent, 80s style

This genuinely is one of the best albums I've purchased over the past 12 months, there ain't a bad song on it. I really hope these guys do well, they deserve to. Amongst all this pop-idol mass produced rubbish that were subjected to it's a relief to hear a genuinely talented act breaking through.

The Revival...

...of post-punk revival. This band are kinda like a cross between Joy Division, Bloc Party and the Editors. This album is amazing. The title track's the obvious standout, but the rest of them are pretty good for a band who've just taken their second gap year. If you like any kind of alternative rock, buy this (of course, listen first - I don't wanna be held responsible if you spend £7.99 and then don't like it).

AMAZING ALBUM - BEST OF 2009

This album is great, all the songs are immense, theres no need to skip any. The song titles may seem a bit depressing, but the music is a breath of fresh air, and makes you generally happy listening to it. They are such a young and talented band, and I can safely say that they will be BIG this year! I think the best songs are: Death To Lose My Life E.S.T. Farewell To The Fairground The Price Of Love But ALL the songs are great!! I've seen them live and they were brilliant, I want to see them again!! I would DEFINATELY recommend buying this, you won't regret it!

A dark-edged trio hailing from London, White Lies take sonic cues from the likes of Joy Division, the Teardrop Explodes, and Echo & the Bunnymen. Indeed, the three musicians are so committed to the U.K.'s post-punk scene that they signed with Fiction Records, a Polydor imprint best known for its '80s releases by the Cure and the Associates. While attending school in West London, singer/guitarist Harry McVeigh, bassist/lyricist Charles Cave, and drummer/keyboardist Jack Lawrence-Brown formed the...
