The Movement from DJ to Musician - True

This album is going to be about him staying true to his sound and making a statement, that he is not just a DJ.

Five stars is for 'Wake Me Up'

Listen to it before you review!

Most of the 5 star ratings were posted months before this album was even released! As an Avicii fan, this is such a let down. What happened to the headbangers such as Levels, Sillhouettes and Bromance with minimal vocals? Cannot see Avicii playing half of these songs on a live set because they are just not danceable. Watch his set au Ultra 2013 and you'll know what I mean. I admire that he's tried to incorporate other genres such as country into this album, but for the most part is has failed spectacularly. The only two songs which are decent are Wake Me Up and Hey Brother, but the former has already been murdered by every club over the summer. I hope that in his next album he goes back to his roots. Very disappointed.

What was once a good DJ who played real music now sold out to Pop, David Guetta style! Listen to his earlier stuff and you'll know what I mean. No better than the Venga Boys were in the 90s!
