Bad Touch - Truth be told

Reuben Reynolds

We hear a lot of bands that have brought out that defining debut album, but have struggled with the follow up, this is not the case with Bad Touch, as they have just released their second album, Truth be told, stealing the mantle with their blues based, riff heavy, soulful rock.

Bad Touch who hail from the Norwich in the U.K. have a sound more reminiscent of bands from the southern states of the USA, hard hitting well crafted tunes that show case their musical prowess, filing the vacuum of where the likes of Black Crowes left off.

As a U.K. Band, it is nice to hear a subtle acknowledgement with a tip of the hat to the rock heritage of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin.
The effortless range of rock Vocal cutting through the mix from Stevie Westwood compliment the back drop of guitars.

Album highlights,Heartbreaker Soul Shaker, 99% and the Mountain, that I am sure will be strong contenders to be highlights of their live sets.

Their first album was a real delight, with some great songwriting - so they couldn't easily follow that could they? Yep, they surely could, and this a beautifully crafted and performed piece of work. They have to be one of the best young live acts on the circuit right now as well, so if you get the chance, go see them, buy their music, become a fan, because boy, does the music industry need bands like this.
