It's actually decent.

Heidi Montag has finally released her debut album 'Superficial'. After years of pushing the release date back and changing names, whilst swapping lead and future singles, Montag's debut effort has had very little atticipation. Seen at first glance as a girl who has the money and time to achieve whatever she wants, people will immediatly rate this album very low purely because Montag is not primarily a singer. However, if you listen to the content of this album, and the independence Montag has to show just to release it, this album is highly comendable.

Montag independantly released this anbum and its first single 'Body Language'. Due to hugely negative reception to the song, the single was cut as the lead single, and consequently cut from the album. It's videon was shot, but never released.

The album beggins with the light pop song 'Look How I'm Doing'. This song appears on both of Montag's previous promotional EP's 'Wherever I Am' and 'Here She Is...', and is fitting to the overall concept of the album, as it is reflecting a strong and headstrong character. This is then followed up by the very similar 'Turn Ya Head', rumored to be released as the albums second single, and 'Fanatic', a song very similar to its predecessors. All three songs were written by the infamous Cathy Dennis, who wrote Britney's iconic song 'Toxic'.

The album then reflects are more impowering turn as the message of 'Hate you haters' comes into play as the lead single and title track 'Superficial' is played. The slow pop song is contrasting with the moderatly successful promotional single 'More Is More', a club worthy hit. 'One More Drink' also takes this road, yet seems to have a more simplistic and classic pop sound than the previous.

'Twisted' is a classic pop song that is rather catchy and will leave you confused with its strang layering of music. 'Hey Boy' is a 90's influenced track that is one of my favourites as it seems to be the pinicall of short and sweet. 'My Parade' and 'Blackout' both seems to keep the pop flow going, yet don't leave incredible impact.

'I'll Do It', alledgly originally called 'Hot Mess' is my favourite track as it leaves you feelung as if Montag had tried to actually compunicate with the fans in very alluring and confusing way. Montag should use more songs like this to create a broader fan range. 'Love It Or Leave It' is perfect to end the album is it is different sounding from the duration and would lead perfectly into a second album or re-release.

Superficial - NOT!

Amazing album Heidi! <3

What a suprise!

Average looks, average voice, another average album. Nothing special, not really worth to buy.
