Album Review

Both of the band's two LPs are combined onto one CD on this reissue, with the addition of extra material. The comprehensive liner notes by producer Mike Hurst are a welcome addition. But there seems to be no ready answer as to why; in the space of a 12-page booklet, there are no indications as to which song comes from which album. And although the cover boasts "two original albums on one CD — plus three bonus tracks," there are also no indications as to which of these 20 songs are bonus tracks, and whether they were unreleased, non-LP singles, or what. All that aside, it's a definitive document of the work of an average, white blues-funk hard rock band who managed to get a couple of American Top 20 hits by happenstance.
