Truly wonderful...

I bought this album after a friend played 'Us' for me, and I don't regret it in the slightest. Eccentric yet undeniably talented, Regina Spektor personifies the range of human emotions through her music. From the uplifting and almost yearning 'Us' to the melancholy, touching 'Chemo Limo', this album is guaranteed to make you smile and cry. Just sit back and listen and enjoy.

This album is really one of the things that will change the way a person approches their everyday life, their is nothing more life affurming than her eccentric view on on all rediculious common place events of the day. (p.s sorry if there are spelling errors but i dont have time to check the review on Word)

Fantastic. Americana. Tropicana.

I love this album, it's my favourite out of all of Regina's albums, I constantly have it on repeat. My favourite song from this album is "Chemo Limo". I spent ages trying to master how to sing "I can afford chemo like I can afford a limo and any given day I'd rather ride a limosine" etc, just as I did with all of the other crazy lyrics/noises which come out of Regina's mouth on this album! The girl really has got amazing vocal chords and I completely admire her for what she does. It was Spektor who inspired me to take up playing the piano 5 years ago- and everytime I listen to her music, even now, I desperately want to go home and practice playing difficult tunes on the piano; I really want to be able to play the piano like Regina Spektor. "Us" is an instant classic. It's lively and upbeat and the little bit near the beginning, "take photographs of fun...have fun", nearly always makes me smile. Other favourites are The Flowers, Sailor Song and Carbon Monoxide- but overall this album is fantastic. Buy it. You will not regret it.

Years Active: '00s, '10s

A veteran of New York's anti-folk scene, songwriter Regina Spektor makes quirky, highly eclectic, but always personal music. Born and raised in Moscow until age nine, Spektor listened to her father's bootleg tapes of Western pop and rock as a young child and also learned to play piano. She and her family moved from Russia to the Bronx, where she was immersed in American culture (at the time, hers was the first Russian family in the borough in 20 years). Eventually, Spektor and her family became part...
