that what im takin about
quality, pure and simple, va bene.
Does what is says on the tin...
Loved this album just like the previous three. Fact is the first of these albums really got me interested in the original verve artists. So i started to listen to the orignals as well. If you've grown up with dance music then the remixed albums appeal is obvious with so many renowned djs/producers/artists from all forms of modern dance music involved. Just buy it.
Why ruin a god thing
Whilst I enjoyed some of the first album, I have to say that it's been down hill from then. This latest collection only proves to me that you shouldn't ruin a good thing. There really are some bizarre mixes of hip-hop beat-box drum beats over some wonderfully classic and still fresh melodies which just does not work. The last straw was the unfathomable treatment of a Billie Holiday number and track 12 on this album destroys the vocal genius of Ella Fitzgerald. Please, give it up and listen to the real thing.
