The Voice of Seduction and Sophisticaton

You know how it works. You listen to an album once and you think, "Yeah, not bad". But after time and repeated listening it bleeds into your day-to-day being and the music becomes a touchstone for your life. This is Asrud Gilberto. What do F1 drivers listen to in their homes in Monaco? What does your girlfriend think of when trying on clothes in a Parisian boutique? What does your boyfriend imagine would be the perfect soundtrack for a night of love under a velvety black star studded sky? I don’t know the answers to these but if I had to guess it would be Astrud.

I couldn't pass by this wonderful compilation without expressing how glad I am I've found Astrud Gilberto. The soft, jazzy, lush Brazilian samba provides a fluid backdrop, to her tonal, breezy, intimate vocals and this album, the era it evokes and the sheer style it it oozes, is the perfect summer soundtrack. Buy it, and open your ears and heart to this beautiful assortment. It's like velvety smooth sugar for your soul!
