After working for a time as a background singer for Emmanuel, Manuel Mijares (he has been billed simply as Mijares since his debut album in 1986) launched his own career as a pop star with a series of hit singles like “Bella,” “Sonador,” “Poco a Poco,” and “Siempre,” and has remained active ever since with nearly two-dozen albums in his catalog. This set, Honor a Quien Honor Merece, a tribute to Jose Jose, was Mijares' 17th studio album when it was released in 2005.
