Editors’ Notes

In the decade following Kings of Leon’s 2003 debut, Youth and Young Manhood, the Tennessee brothers have become one of the world’s biggest rock bands by mixing blues, soul and southern rock in incendiary guitar anthems like “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody”. After a brief absence from the limelight, the Kings return sounding wholly invigorated on their sixth studio album, which was produced with longtime collaborator Angelo Petraglia. Offering a return to the joyous, youthful rock ’n’ roll of their debut, it comes charging out of the gate with the chiming guitars and steady pulse of “Supersoaker”.

Customer Reviews

Buy this, now!

Kings of Leon will, and forever be, my favourite band untill the day I die. Their new sounds is almost a throw back to their earlier work, with Calebs vocals stronger then ever. Crazy breakdowns and beautiful melodies. I urge any KoL fan to buy this.

Kings of Leon... Wow... They have done it again! Please buy!!

Kings of Leon are the band that brought my passion out for music and lyrics!! I love them more than words can describe and they will always be my favourite band. I will be happy to listen to them until they day I die. They have changed my life. They are very special to me and I have just got goosebumps listening to this... Thanks for the music and the memories Kings of Leon.

Disappointing

Listening to this album I couldn't help thinking it's all gone a little Bon Jovi. It's a pleasant listen, but for me their music has lost it's excitement unfortunately.

The Tennessee-bred quartet debuted in 2003 with the Holy Roller Novocaine EP, whose blend of raw, unpolished boogie rock was further explored on their debut full-length, Youth & Young Manhood. Such revivalist music was matched by a similarly revivalist appearance — including long...
