Customer Reviews

I've just got this a few minutes a go and i am amazed this album is better than any other that i have reviewed yet. All the songs are an immediate wow reaction with me i was in awe especially this boy which had a familiar ring to it which made me think that i had known this song before and loved it and the fallen with a very rhythmic flow to it. Then with walk away great dynamic performance the whole way through. Then a very devil music musical song evil and a heathen. Then into the slow song Eleanor put your boots on which has a nice sound to it. Then a mix between a slow and rock song Well that was easy which has a freaky repetition to it where he says come on kill me now but besides that it is a good slow/rock song. Then what you meant which has a nice bouncing beat to it which is highly catchy. I'm your villain which has a pumpin beat at the start, with a nice range of different beats, rythms and tunes to it. You could have it so much better has a real rock and roll sound to it with Alex (lead singer) singing roughly and strong guitar and hard drums. Then they let me down a bit by having an acoustic fairy-tale like song fade together. Then we have more strong percussion, bass guitar and piano which is nothing at all like their sound and yet again some more franztastic rhyming. GO AND BUY THIS NOW!!!!!!!

Franz Ferdinand Part 2

Franz Ferdinand's second outing seems at one point more introspective of their view of the world and at the same time embraces a lot more than their first album could achieve. Lyrically, Franz's frontman is re-treading familiar turf- girlfriends long forgotten, friends long forgotten and forgetting about friends but is also breaking out with radio- lovely pop, crafted out of the mould that their first attempt only hinted at. Also, musically they are developing. Yes, there is still the scratchy guitar riffs and repetitive drum beats, but added to is a new acoustic/ 'pop' dimension. Worth the download, some gems included. A band who have risen and will no doubt keep rising.

You Couldn't Have It Much Better

This album is Great, the title doesnt fit, Franz Fardinand have exceeded themselves with this album, i hope they will get better in time, but for now its the height of brilliance! i advise you to buy this album!

Formed: 2001 in Glasgow, Scotland

Glasgow's art-damaged rock quartet Franz Ferdinand -- named for the Austro-Hungarian Archduke whose murder sparked World War I -- feature bassist Bob Hardy, guitarist Nick McCarthy, drummer Paul Thomson, and singer/guitarist Alex Kapranos. In late 2001, Kapranos and Hardy had begun working on music together when they met McCarthy, a classically trained pianist and double bass player who originally played drums for the group despite no prior experience as a drummer.
