Customer Reviews

this is conversation music

in that you can talk over it, but it also talks to you (and there's a fair bit of talking in it). This album generally stays away from English, and sticks to the Norwegian, when there are vocals and in its drifty style. The majority of the tracks are purely instrumental, and this is what makes it a good party album, or just for listening to in the bath; it doesnt overtly intrude upon your conciousness, but seeps into the unconcious. The little melodies on tracks like Den Trojanske Hesten or Il fait beau seem to float to the surface of the pool of songs that seems to hang around im your head. The only weak track is Postcard from Congo (although one of the more popular ones), but i felt it was pandering a little too much towards African music stereotypes, and is a bit irritating. Buy the whole album, as individually the songs (as on most good albums) are weaker separately.

Saw These guys as a supporting act for Hot Chip on 23/2/10 and what a gig it was! CasioKids definately got the crowd hyped and their music is phenomenally good.

What a completely pretentious name for an album

If you can get over that, it's really good
