Album Review

The soundtrack to Mel Gibson's 1995 multi-Oscar winning tale about 13th century Scottish knight Sir William Wallace, Braveheart is one of James Horner's most critically acclaimed film scores. Nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA, and Golden Globe, the 18 instrumental pieces, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, draw heavily on Celtic/Scottish influences, and feature bagpipes, atmospheric flutes, and bodhran drums to create several authentic, melancholic, and emotionally stirring symphonies. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Braveheart abulm AMAZING!!!!

Im not a big fan of classical or acoustic music, but the music produced on the film and on this abulm are truly amazing. My personal favourite being 'Freedom'/The execution bannockburn' which is beautiful, with the first few mins of the song being the best. Also the 'END CREDITS' and 'WALLACE COURTS MURRON' are really lovely too. overall the music is incredibly moving and although i found the actual film incredibly sad, the music moved me to the point of tears. FANTASTIC.

Thank you Mr Horner

This is the soundtrack to the birth of the Scottish Nation. a fantastic album for the best wee country in the world!

Let's be honest....

I must say this is some of the finest music you'll here and download. Lets just say, i'm English through and through and proud to be so but it's music like this and the film combined that reminds me how proud i am to also have some Scottish in me as well.
