open your ears!

The review above is quite frankly wrong. Ok it's not Purple Rain or Sign 'o' the Times, and yes it is leaning toward the jazzier Prince sound, but if you truly love music then you can't deny these are well written and exellently performed songs. They work very well as a whole listening experience, unlike his more pop albums which have better songs don't flow as complete albums. Bare in mind this was a contractual obligation to Warners, still I think he pulled off a very nice, dare I say it 'easy listening' jazzy pop album. Only for those who appreciate true musicianship.

pure genius

everything this guy does is magic ,just love him. please prince open the vault door a little wider

One Cool Album

On first hearing this album my thought was I must hear it again. That was a week ago and I am still listening every day on the way to work. From the first beat of the drum I am wide awake. It makes me want to dance, it is that astounding. Jazz and Funk in Prince's own style with faultless production. If you like Prince, you owe it to yourself to buy it..!!
