Jeff Buckley reborn - invest in this album

I have just downloaded this album but have not had chance to listen to it, however I've been waiting several years for this after the release of Rocco's excellent first album. Other than being an accomplished dobro player, he is a talented songwriter with a flair for poignant and beautiful lyrics. The main selling point of this exceptional artist is his soulful voice, which can soar as brilliantly as Jeff Buckley's voice had the capacity to do, praise indeed in my book. I have been lucky to catch him live twice in the UK (Manchester), the live transfer is unbelievable, and meeting him, he is just a friendly self-effacing and highly intelligent guy who pays his blues dues. Please purchase this album, this guy is presently a cult hero, but I believe he deserves more due to his unwavering live work and the effort he puts into his craft. Come on, indulge!!! More UK purchases may persuade this gentle guy to come over to the UK sooner rather than later.

Out of this WORLD!

You'll need mercy after listening to this - you'll be blown away! This is a stunning album from Rocco DeLuca, master of the Dobro and a guy with the purest voice. The title track 'Mercy' and 'Open pages' are beautiful examples of touching, melodic songs. 'Save Yourself' rocks it hard. My favourites are Junky Valentine and Bright Lights but 'I Trust You to Kill Me' which is the title of Rocco's first album has to be heard! There is not one track on this album I don't like. Yes I am a fan. But if I wasn't already, I certainly would be now! Go buy it... you won't be disappointed! And if you ever get the chance to see him live.... snap it up!

Before he formed his band the Burden in 2005, singer-songwriter and guitar/Dobro player Rocco Deluca had performed widely as a solo artist (opening for Taj Mahal and John Lee Hooker, among others). Interest from the independent label Ironworks (founded by actor Kiefer Sutherland), prompted Deluca to put together a quartet, and the group recorded their debut, 2006’s I TRUST YOU TO KILL ME, which showcased the band’s bluesy grooves and Deluca’s songwriting and Dobro skills. The recording of the album...
