iTunes Review

The Australians’ second LP adventurously recuts their anthemic rock with electronica. Guitars and synths percolate into ’80s pop (“Need Your Love”, “Where Do We Go from Here”) and a Clash-evoking street gospel (“London’s Burning”) as Dougy Mandagi regularly holds back his show-stopping falsetto to transmit passion and yearning in lower octaves. The band’s talent for indelible melodies stands firm though. The charms of the brooding, percussive “Miracle” and stadium ballad “Trembling Hands” may unfurl slowly, but once they bed in they’re tough to shake.

The Temper Trap

This album is a work of art produced by genius! Conditions was incredible but this is even better. Absolutely fantastic! Buy this and be delighted. Album of the year for sure. Five star +

Another cracker

Why arent these guys headlining big name festivals or filling up stadiums? They are so so good. Another cracking album. Hauntingly beautiful at times, songs that can really be a soundtrack to someones life. Phenomenal.

dissapointed.

The Temper Trap made Conditions amazing because there wasn't much on the album but everything was beautiful so we loved all of it and knew every song off by heart(ish). This album doesn't follow the same musical magic from the first one. They've taken it easy in my opinion, and they can do better than that. much better.
If you still feel something when listening to conditions (thinking wow what music), don't ruin that experience by stuffing this album into your ipod, youll just end up skipping the songs until those from conditions come on.
If you're looking for something new and you're bored of condition, go right ahead and buy it.
