ok but dissappointed by the cheers theme

I really only got this for the cheers theme which unfortunately is not the one we know and love, which is strange considering this guy did record the original. as for the rest of the album, it's pretty middle of the road stuff, but well enough put together

Cheers Theme

Where Everybody Knows Your Name on this album is the re-recorded version. It was released as a single in 1984 to tie in with the increasing popularity of Cheers. The original version used on the opening titles of the programme is about a minute long and can be found on various websites.

Great song

Where everybody knows your name is a brilliant song, I love it. iTunes could you please put it on speacial offer like you did with Top Gear ep6 Season12, but anyway I instantly loved this song please make an extended version.

Songwriter Gary Portnoy is best known as the gentleman who penned the memorable theme song for the TV show Cheers, titled "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" (which also became a hit when later issued as a single). Before his lone hit, Portnoy had issued an overlooked self-titled solo album on Columbia Records in 1980. He also wrote the themes for Punky Brewster and Mr. Belvedere, as well as a song used in Fame titled "I Still Believe in Me." He recorded additional solo albums during the 2000s, although...
