Customer Reviews

I've recently really been getting into some more electronic/industrial/cyber music (although I'm already a massive fan of Angelspit, Emilie Autumn and Ayria) and Collide is one of my favourite bands at the moment!! There's something really refreshing and…DIFFERENT about them, even compared to other bands in this scene; I can't believe I'm the first to write a review, really.
The only reasons I gave this four stars instead of five are these: it annoys me a little that the track names are mostly in lower case, which is cool BUT when three words or so aren't…? I dunno, it just bugs me. That, and the fact that occasionally you start to think "which one is this again?", simply because some of the melodies sound a little similar. I don't really mind that, though - it's just something some people might find a little frustrating.
My top three tracks (in no particular order) are: razor sharp, dreamsleep and monochrome. AWESOME SONGS.
Overall, an amazing album if you're into the whole gothic and industrial thing, as I am, or even if you're just into good music! If you've just discovered Collide, I'd check them out properly; they're an amazing band, but most people take a little while to get into them, I think.

Love it!!!

I have to say I didn't think I'd like this band as much as I do. I bought this album only cos I heard one song (white rabbit) from a sound track and loved it!! I would defo consider buying more of their albums.

Very unique and great sounding - reminds me of an early Evanescence in their "Origin" era.

A male/female duo from Los Angeles consisting of Statik and kaRIN, Collide chose their name to represent the collision of techno and industrial, breakbeats with samples, ambient and noise, plus the Gothic vocals that influenced them. Together, they blend macho angst with a softer, ethereal aggression. While Statik had played trumpet for a few years during school, most of his musical training came from spending many months experimenting with samplers and computers. He also attended a music/engineering...
