It’s a celebration of the creativity of Mendelssohn siblings Felix and Fanny and the husband-and-wife Schumanns, Robert and Clara—as well as the friendship and mutual advocacy between Felix Mendelssohn and Robert Schumann. There’s even room for Liszt elaborating on a Robert Schumann song inspired by Clara. Playing of big-hearted romanticism and genuine poetry courtesy of the hugely talented Sophie Pacini ensures In Between is a winner.
