Unbelievably addictive

Type O Negative are a band that is often reviled, especially for their slow and dirgeful blend of gothic metal and atmospheric rock. This album was a large staple of my college days, and still feels fresh and original today. Pete Steele delivers a devestatingly bleak journey through his tortured mind, the tongue-in-cheek threesome girl fantasy of My Girlfriend's Girlfriend will bring a smile to even the grumpiest face while ballad Love You to Death is achingly beautiful. Add songs about werewolves, druidess's and 4 tracks with the bands blacker-than-black sense of humour ever present and you have Type O's breakthrough classic.

2nd best album of ALL time!

the best is megadeths cryptic writings! they have a nice funny start(79p each for 3 tracks only about 10-30 secons long is a bit of a ripoff) and all the songs on here are 1st class!

Goth Metal At Its Best

The music blends really nicely on a number of tracks, the sound is cold, which sets the tone of the album. There are some great songs on here, Wolf Moon, Die With Me, My Girlfriends Girlfriend, and Cinnamon Girl which is very catchy. Pete Steele leads with bass that compliments his unique voice. You'll be humming these tracks until it drives you mad.

Steele formed Type O Negative in 1990 out of the remnants of thrash band Carnivore, along with his friend Sal Abruscato (drums). Type O's music slowed down the tempos of thrash metal, alternately satirizing and wallowing in a glum mixture of misanthropy, misogyny, depression, and vampiric vocals, as well as loads of...
