Album Review

A lengthy, seamless fusion of Western and non-Western electronic and acoustic elements, interspersed with soundbites and film samples, with a level of emotional engagement and compositional sophistication rare in music of this type. Uniformly enthralling.

A welcome addition to iTunes

Amazing to find this here, 1194 is an amazing album and has remained in my favourites for a very long time. To be able to get it here for 7.99 is a flipping bargain!

Perfection...

Few ambient albums of this era ever quite matched this album. Expansive, visual, deep, subtle and filled with micro-moodscapes that over lap to build a breathless whole. Em:t records' finest hour... which is saying something when you consider how incredible that label was. Great to see this album available again. I was a journalist when this came out and interviewed Paul Frankland, aka Woob. I loved this album then and haven't stopped loving it since. If you only ever buy one ambient album, make it 'Woob 1194'... for 'On Earth' alone it's worth the £7.99

How much for woob?

£7.99 for a woob album? it's just pretty crummy electronic! Wuub is an okay track though, but buy that and be done with it.
