YASMINE HAMDAN is the lead singer behind SOAP KILLS ( check out the song kazdoura ) and the project Y.A.S / Arabology with MIRWAIS, Terrific record. This is her first solo album, And this is the international version. The original version was released last year. Few songs are missing and new songs have been added. refreshing and beautiful

Haunting songs in arabic have always held an impression - a sort of palate cleanser to western music and the predictability of where the tune is going. I'm so tired of music that is understandable and obvious. This is a great discovery and worth the magic of your ears. Not a dud on this. Might even make you go further across the sands...


What an absolutely stunning voice. I heard Yasmine on Jools Holland a couple of weeks ago and haven't been able to get enough since. I have also, thanks to a previous review, booked tickets to see her in October. Hypnotising sounds from this one off artist.
