Bringin the Blues back

We all know the horrors of actors recording albums but truth is Hugh Lauries is not an actor he is an artist of so many genres and mediums; his musical talent and love of the Blues makes this album perfect for not only fans of the actor but people who enjoy a good old fashioned Blues tune. I have the album pre-ordered and if this taster is anything to go buy it will probably end up being one of the best in my collection.

Hugh is just good

Hugh is just good at everything and this is no exception. Really quality blues music and delivered by someone you can really feel means it. Doesn't matter that he's spent most of his life as an actor. He's a musician here.

Is there anything This chap can't do?

I was prepared for a Steven Segall Bruce Willis moment, but as a musician my self I must say this is not only as brilliant as seasick Steve, and dare I say Muddy Waters, but also the production is suberb. If you buy any single this month make it this, you certainly won't regret it if you love the blues, to Quote Jools Holland "Hugh is what I'd call a quiet genius" I agree. 6 stars ******
