What's New in Version 2.5
AdMob removed, optimized images
I love looking at illusions but this is not a good app.
It's pretty unmanagable, has repeated images, is NOT suitable (as the rating claims) for 4 years old and up (one of the illusions is swearing at you, some are scary etc) the sizing is off so you have to sometimes move/resize which you can do but again is clumsy and unweildy, some don't seem to be illusions at all (though most are), some obviously poorly scanned from books, which looks weird, all thrown in randomly without anyone checking it through, also resoloution/picture quality is very bad on some.
If I had paid I would have been livid.
As a free app well it has some good pictures (but you have to go through everything to find them, and no easy way to find them again later short of writing down the number) to be honest I deleted it after looking through them and given how annoying it was to look through and resize and the poor resoloution on many of them... it dosen't feel worth the effort and headache and so in hindsight I wish I hadn't bothered.
I had this on the an ipod touch and only a few days ago so...
(a) god knows how bad it looks on an ipad and some of these were tiny/bad resoloution on the ipod's small screen.
(b) they said they optimized the images in an update back in decemeber so now I'm wondering how bad was it before that this is how it looks AFTER they improved it.
Hmmmmm... could be so much better.
This little program (coz it's not really much of an app) could be SOOOO much more.
Basically, it's just a package of pictures -- some proper optical illusions, some 'trick' photos that make use of the 2D/3D effects of photographs, and some other odd pictures -- but they could b presented in a gallery package that is so much better.
For instance, when you view a picture you open it and can zoom in & out, move it around, etc. but if you accidentally slide it out of view (which is easier than it sounds) you cannot get it back unless you reset your iPod. Also, once you've viewed a pic, you can't just slide to the next one... you have to go back to the previous list and select the next one.
Lacks flare and needs improvement.
Lazy and rubbish
Look like just a bunch of pictures scanned from various sources (makes me wonder about copyright violations). No means of navigation other than selecting from an anonymous list ("Optical illusion 255" etc), so you've no idea what you're going to see and you can't step through them.
Sorry, but it's a lazily put together app that is pretty pointless (even if some of the images are interesting).
