What's New in Version 1.9
iOS 8 bug fixes
I like to read the articles. Quietly. It seems this apps is pushing users towards watching videos all the time. If I click on an article, the associated video automatically starts playing. I click it to stop. After about a second it starts up again so I have to switch it off again. When I then exit the news item, it starts up again. I don't want to hear a new reader. I don't want to watch an item unless there is something inherently 'visual' about the story. Increasingly, Sky 'journalists' aren't even bothering to write an article. Sometimes there's only a video. I guess that makes them just 'reporters' or 'new readers'. But my preference is to read the news myself.
SHAME on you Sky!!!
I am deleting this app because of the adds at the bottom of each page. Many of the articles featured are SCAM sites which trick you into believing you can make a fortune online (trust me DO NOT) sign for any of them. To me it is disgusting that SKY help to promote such scum scammers who's only goal is to fleece ordinary folk. SHAME on you Sky!!!
I don't expect this review to stay up for long for obvious reasons but if it stops just one of you people getting scammed then it will have been worth it
Stay Away from this Ap
Got a splash screen telling me my subscription had ended as I had canceled my Sky TV package, I pressed done on the top right corner to close the window, but to my surprise I had been conned into subscribing for another month, when I tried to unsubscribe I was all alarmed to discover there was not option todo so,, from my iPad,after much searching I found instruction to goto iTunes and unsubscribe from there, trouble is I don't have a laptop any longer so cannot access iTunes, this setup is wrong and totally unfair and un acceptable for consumers, something trading standards should be informed about. Please refund me.
