Arriva mobile ticketing application: Buy, receive and use your bus ticket via your iPhone.
Welcome to a new way to get on board Arriva buses, available across the UK (except London).
You can now purchase your Day, Weekly, 4-Weekly or Annual Saver ticket using your mobile phone. It's quick, easy and hassle-free.
Buy your m-ticket when it suits you. You could be sitting on the sofa or at your work desk. There's no need to nip to the cash point just to fund a bus trip.
Once set up, it's a doddle to buy from your mobile.
Save time. When others are fumbling for change, you simply show the driver your m-ticket on your mobile screen.
The m-ticket service itself is free - you only pay for your actual m-ticket.
It’s totally secure and uses a highly secure AES 256 bit encryption. Your card
details are not held on your handset or Arriva servers, but use servers that meet
PCI-DSS security standards.
What's New in Version 4.1.1
Ticket activation enhancements
Minor bug fixes
Good app but lots of bugs
When this app actually works it's great no need to worry about losing your paper ticket, however this app freezes and crashes most of the time and the only way to fix it is to delete the app which if your only part way through a ticket it will delete the it and you'll have to buy another one, all in all I would only recommend this app to people who travel by bus a lot as it is the only way you can get the cheaper/longer versions of tickets like the monthly tickets but I think the creator of the app needs to look into fixing all the bugs and something for if people lose tickets because of problems with the app itself
If have to reinstall the app like I did it couldn't retrieve my ticket so now I have to get in touch with Arriva to get it resent to my number, which is great except it can take 24 hours and they don't open until 8am and my bus is at 7:15 so now Ive hot to purchase a day ticket on top of the Monthly ticket I already have floating in cyberspace, why you can't have a proper account that you can log into that has all tickets stored on instead of it being linked to that app at that moment and if app gets reinstalled you have to create a new account for it and have ticket resent you if it fails to sync itself to your number which it does 99% of the time fail to do.
Since my initial review below the app has been redone completely. Works a dream. 1 improvement observation would be for any updates to be agreed with the user before they happen, the app updating automatically is annoying as your generally trying to use the ticket to board a bus
Very poor, crashes constantly, fails to load tickets, even bus drivers know how useless this thing is. Also unable to buy tickets for West Yorkshire now?!?!?
