ps - to open it you must open a file. No opened file, no graphic interface! a bit confusing.

It’s okay but a bit limited and unintuitive. I down-loaded it and tried to run it. The icon appeared at the bottom of the screen and I tried to click on it. Nothing happened, I then read the reviews and deleted it. Then I thought about it re-loaded it. The icon at the bottom of the screen is’nt relevant . You have to go to the Status Bar at the top of the screen anbd “Open” a file. The editing screen / window then pops in to view.

Then I tried to view the graphic display of the recording - after many attempts, I had to expand the window to whole width of the screen (27”), then was all visible. The editing frame is not intuitive either, but did manage to delete a large quiet section and it did save in m4a format.

I give it three stars because, its free, simple and on its way. Some improvement though is necessary. However, it is free!!!

First up, this downloaded without issue, and opened as soon as I tried it. It opened an MP3 file and I trimmed the beginning and end before exporting the modified version as M4a, which played perfectly. Those commenters who have had issues may want to try re-installing, as it may be that I got a later version (although I didn’t see any dev notes to that effect).

The software does exactly what it states it does. It’s simple to use, and not bogged down with a lot of unnecessary features. I really wanted something small and quick that I could trim the quiet parts from MP3s with, and this does it perfectly.

While instructions or a manual would be nice, I think most people could figure this out without much trouble.

The only downside I can see (hence not 5 stars) is that the MP3 sample graphic does not autoscroll with the mouse when you’re selecting a clip range that is wider than the window. Only a little thing, but it would be nice for future versions (unless this is in the payware version and I’ve not checked it!!).

On the whole, I recommend this product.
