HOW TO REGISTER
If you’re 16 or over and you have a UK-registered mobile number and a Barclays current account, follow the onscreen instructions. You’ll need your sort code and account number and you’ll need to verify your identity with PINsentry or at a Barclays cash machine.
If you’ve got an activation code, follow the onscreen steps to register (you won’t need PINsentry for this).
After you’re set up, you’ll only need your 5-digit passcode to log in.
If you only have a Barclaycard account you can’t register for this app but you can register for the MyBarclaycard app.
• Manage your personal, business and corporate accounts, including your Barclaycard accounts, and view your Barclays mortgage account
• See recent transactions and check your balances
• Make payments to new and existing payees, transfer money between accounts or transfer a balance to your Barclaycard
• Delete Direct Debits
• Set up, edit and delete standing orders using your app
• Join Barclays Blue Rewards and earn rewards just for banking with us
• Store your documents securely with Barclays Cloud It
• Find your nearest branch or cash machine
• Use Mobile PINsentry. It’ll take up to 10 days for this feature to be activated in the app while we complete some security checks,
• Call us straight from the app to speak to an adviser
• Our iPhone app has been accredited by AbilityNet – the charity that assesses digital services for accessibility

FOR BUSINESS ACCOUNTS
You can only use the app if you’re a sole-signatory Barclays Business current account holder. You can’t register your Barclaycard business or corporate credit cards.

I have flitted between banks for quite some time and have a wide experience of their mobile offerings. I even worked for Lloyds for a time. This is hands down the best app of them all.
It's easy to set up with the pin sentry (which you should expect to have to use to access the bank account anyway, security is no bad thing). The option for Touch ID is there should you choose to use it. It's easy to make transfers, pay set up payees and even add new payees which many apps don't let you do. I like that Barclays only show an available balance and it updates immediately even after contactless payments which most other banks also don't do.
The best thing is being able to use mobile pin sentry as well as the normal card readers. I am not forced to do one or the other potentially leaving myself in a pinch. It's smooth, slick and informative. Cannot fault.
A really slick app
I've had this installed for some time and watched the app evolve into its current format. It's a hugely versatile app which for me completely obviates the need to ever visit a branch. I've used the secure chat function on the app to change my address as well as query some charges I couldn't identify on my account. I've also ordered a new debit card.
There are a couple of negative reviews about the requirement to login again if you leave the app. This is true but it's not a bad feature overall. Use Touch ID and it's next to instant anyway.
Banking is moving this direction over costly high street branches but the shift can really only benefit customers if the app is as solid as this one. I also have a TSB account but the app isn't anywhere near as good as this one. If I ever decide to look around at other banks, the app had better have similar features!
By far the best mobile banking app I've used!
This app is absolutely brilliant. You can do your everyday banking using the app. You can save new payees, log in to online banking if you wanted to using mobile pinsentry so no need to have to carry the card reader with you. It allows you to transfer money between your accounts, view all of your balances and even gives you the option to view all of the correspondence the bank sends you so no more missed letters! If that isn't enough for you, you can also amend your direct debits standing orders and pay bills. I have been a longstanding customer of Barclays and I didn't expect anything less from them. Great bank so of course the app will be great too. Would definitely recommend to Barclays customers who like to do things on the go using their smartphone :)
