To all the people complaining that they can't download it, or it takes ages to download. that's because the App size is over 1GB due to all the information in it & you download it so you can use the app offline, & it runs faster that's not the App fault, that your crap broadband. I have 100MB with virgin & downloaded it in less than a minute & it works perfectly fine on my iPad 3 & my latest iPad. but I do agree with some of the other comments that there's not enough landmarks about the UK, but there again, as we're a tiny county, They probably ran out of room on the map & had nowhere to put them all! hehe lol, but that Angel of The North! Please, who wants to know about that pile of junk! :-D hehe. It's like TSB Bank gift of the iron man to Birmingham.
When Lloyds brought TSB Bank & move there Head Office out of Birmingham City Centre, they should of took their pile of Junk crap gift from outside their old head office & fecked off with ;-D.
Bang for your buck
It's amazing how much has been crammed into this app. Music and sound effects change as you move around different parts of the world and select different places (headphones are a must!), mesmerising animations bring the whole globe to life, and the data/stats/rankings for each country bring so much extra information if you really want to look into it. Just tapping any text box to have it read aloud is fantastic and keeps the kids entertained for hours! Great app all round. I wish there was a way to easily find the rotations I saw in the demo video, but I have to admit that having to hunt for them has been a lot of fun anyway..
Wow! This app is amazing. It's excellently interactive and visually stimulating. I work as a year 2 teacher the children are aged 6 and 7 and this app suits them just right. They can access the information easily and most are able to read it independently. I also showed this app to my brother in law who works as a secondary school teacher he thought it would even suit his age group too due to the statistical information. It is super for just refreshing the memory about the placements of those countries you have heard of but can't quite remember where they are! Definitely worth the low cost.
