Ratings and Reviews
It’s okay I guess
This app is just okay. It’s certainly know where near the “kitchen stories” app. That is far superior in every way. Perhaps the developers take a peek at what they do?👍
If I don’t touch my phone with the app open for a while my phone locks, yes I do understand I can change this in settings but then it doesn’t lock phone. Kitchen stories the app stays open for as long as the app is open. Kitchen stories also lets you change the amount of servings for a recipe and then it self calculates the ingredients.
Yes I’m a kitchen stories devotee, it’s a great product, this app could be great, but so far it’s an average C grade!
Hi there, thanks for taking the time to review our app. We pride ourselves in our thousands of trusted, triple-tested recipes and our app exists to showcase these recipes. We're always looking to improve, so we'll keep your feedback in mind. Best wishes, the BBC Good Food team.
Ad-free version needed
This is an excellent app with great recipes. The ability to save a recipe is very useful, but I find the process somewhat unintuitive and ‘clunky’. That would have reduced five stars to four, so why have I only given it two? One word: adverts! No make that three words: horrible, irritating adverts. Every other app I have encountered that is funded by advertising either has two versions, such as premium and lite (the former paid and the latter free) or there is an in-app option to disable the ads by paying. I would willingly pay for this app, but I won’t use it when I’m pestered by perishing ads!
Hello and thank you for your feedback. We'd love to know: in what way do you find the user experience clunky? We're always looking to improve, so if you have any suggestions then please email them over to firstname.lastname@example.org. In regard to the adverts, we'll take your feedback on board. Best wishes, the BBC Good Food team.
So glad they have finally made an app. Have used the website for years but this is much easier use. So many fab recipes that you can save in your folders. Only downside is that on the website you could read people’s comments, which often had handy hints or amendments to the recipes. On the app you can only see the overall star rating. Perhaps that will come in time?
