Description

Get simple and relevant suggestions each day to help you adapt to life after breast cancer treatment. Breast Cancer Care’s app (BECCA) helps you find tips about symptoms, exercise, food, beauty, hobbies and knowing what’s normal for you. BECCA will help you feel healthier, happier and able to move on after your breast cancer diagnosis.

Who is BECCA for?

When you’ve finished breast cancer treatment it can be difficult to get back to ‘normal’. You may feel angry, sad, tired, anxious, stressed or depressed, while your friends and family may think you’re alright and able to move on. You may struggle to find relevant and trustworthy advice online, which can make you feel uncertain about how to move forward after breast cancer.

People who’ve used the app say they feel healthier, more able to cope and above all, happier.

Features

• BECCA has been developed by healthcare professionals and people like you who are living with breast cancer.
• Bitesize, tailored support
• Delivered directly to your tablet or mobile phone, at any time you need it.

“Being a bit of a technophobe, I found the app quite easy to use. It also directed me to relevant and trustworthy sites that helped me answer some of my queries with good advice and ideas to help me cope.”
- July Honey

Marvellous App

Fenouilard

A mine of information providing serious detail and sympathetic support strategies. I look at it most days for the daily tips and use it to research more in depth topics. It answers all those difficult questions about what treatment entails and how to deal with it. Just occasionally it freezes but that is usually easily dealt with by clicking out and back in.

Brilliant app

Kimkimberly

This app is great, it’s made me feel normal again, after realising that most of what I’m feeling and experiencing is quite normal. It’s a great support, when your other support has gone. Keep up the good work

Freezes!

tweetwee999

Installed ok but it got permanently stuck. Deleting and reinstalling doesn’t fix the problem. I deleted the app. What a shame.

Developer Response

Hi tweetwee999,
We are sorry to hear that the app has been freezing. We've been testing it at Breast Cancer Care without any issues so please can you get in touch with us at becca@breastcancercare.org.uk and we can look into the problem and try to fix it for you.
In the meantime you can access our BECCA-lite web version at http://becca.breastcancercare.org.uk/
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Many thanks,
Kristina
