Description
Graphisoft’s BIMx is an interactive app for exploring BIM projects and linked documentation sets created in Archicad and DDScad. Please download to visualize or collaborate on architectural design projects on your mobile device(s).
BIMx offers professional building visualization with game-like navigation to explore and visualize architectural projects. BIMx features the ‘BIMx hyper-model’ – allowing non-design professionals to explore and fully understand architectural design intent, view project deliverables, and access element level BIM data. BIMx links the 3D model with the relevant 2D documentation layouts, providing a seamless way to view the 3D cutaway model in the context of a 2D layout — and vice versa.
BIMx connects the construction site with the architect’s office for streamlined collaboration. Real-time model cut-throughs, in-context measuring and project markups in the model context make BIMx your best on-site BIM companion. Drive the design narrative on the building site for fast, specific client feedback.

Ignore the early reviews - this is very clever
Ignore the early reviews of this app as they’ve missed the whole point of the app - its not to CREATE anything, its to VIEW models built by others.
If you want an app for others to view your ArchiCAD models, without any sort of technical expertise or training, this is an awesome tool.
I am an architect and my clients crave this sort of ability to interact with models. Unfortunately I use Vectorworks as a CAD package so this app is of little use, but it’s inspiring. For ArchiCAD users, I can see many benefits of this app.

I think the other reviewers may have missed the point a little
This is a great little app for viewing & presenting your ArchiCAD models on your iPhone/iPad. We have even used it to send contractors views of difficult assemblies direct to their iPhone on site, which is an absolutely amazing capability when you think about it.
I've also used it to run through a project on site with a building inspector not familiar with the project - much easier than wielding large plans on a windy site I can assure you!
Yes there are some limitations, such as the inability to transfer renovation, model view options, and layer combinations.
My top requests for the next version (in addition to the above) would be the ability to read and edit annotations, measure, and of course, make use of the accelerometer /camera for navigation.
Those minor gripes aside, we love it in our practice and use it almost daily on almost every project.
A great BIM model viewer
Really enjoy using this app and especially like sharing it with Clients for them to also use and engage with them on proposals as they are issued. Love it! 👍🏾
