Mind and body
I found both sections of this app really interesting: it’s split into two sections which address mind and body. Special mention goes to the section which gives advice on diet. I cook a lot and enjoy it. There are lots of things that I didn’t know about certain foods and now take account of in my life. Obviously it’s hard to completely change your life: I haven’t been able to adopt everything yet, but what I have changed has made me feel a lot healthier as a result – it makes sense: follow these tips for good mental health, and you cut out stuff which is harmful for your body in the long run. Maybe one day I’ll be able to fully adopt all of the advice.
I’ve been looking for something for a while which combines aspects of different apps. The meditation/ relaxation audios I found especially good. Rachel Kelly herself reads one for sleep, and she’s got the perfect voice for it. A word of advice: don’t listen to it while you’re doing something important, because it’ll make you drift off.
I work within an academic psychiatry research facility and this could be very helpful to most, if not all, patients who are looking for an extra toolkit to help in their battle.
The app itself works flawlessly, and looks great. It is very approachable and does well to move away from a clinical feel into something that is pleasant to use.
Lots of different prose, so there will be at least one to suit all. The dietary information is very welcome, getting people to think of this holistic approach can have great benefits.
