So you think you understand this thing you’re holding? Think again. Stop tapping. Stop swiping. In fact, stop touching the screen at all. To crack Blackbox’s puzzles you’ll need to find solitude and stillness, climb mountains, call on friends, get in tune with the cosmos, and think outside the box.
Minimalistic visual clues make for incredibly satisfying “Aha!” moments, while sonic interfaces provide an extra level of guidance and nuance that makes Blackbox accessible with or without vision. Thoughtful haptic feedback, Easter eggs on Easter eggs, and solutions that can’t be found beneath the glass of your screen redefine what a puzzle can be. You’ll never see your device the same way again.
Think you’re clever? Prove it.

Just a minor little dusting.

Ratings and Reviews
The most ingenious thing about Blackbox’s puzzles isn’t that you solve them without tapping or swiping. It’s that you’ll happily spend hours figuring out the game’s subtle clues. Do you need to tilt your iPhone, shout into the speaker or do something a lot trickier? Thinking creatively and finding the answer feels deeply rewarding, even profound—earning Blackbox an Apple Design Award.
I found this app last year whilst browsing through the App Store and thought, that looks interesting and I just haven’t put it down, it gives you so much satisfaction when you work out how to solve a puzzle that you’ve been working on for days! Sometimes I got so frustrated on some of the tasks but it never put me off, I was back on the app everyday trying to figure it out! Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!
My only improvement would be to add more tasks as I’ve almost finished all of them and would love some more, that would be great!
This game takes all logic and flips it upside down. In some cases, quite literally UPSIDE DOWN. Whether your twisting your phone, taking your arm with it, or sitting there just violently shaking your device to make it into a nice smoothie of blended electrical insides, these puzzles make you think outside the box, once again, quite literally. And it, as most mobile games, has prompts to share. However, they aren’t the usual prompts you’d expect. Instead, you’ll find that it even makes fun of itself in the prompt. And ones more thing this game does, is actually make the prompt a way of getting more puzzles. Sneaky.
