Myself, my husband and my 15 year old son have just stayed at B&B Macalube that is situated in Aragona, a short drive from Agrigento and Scala dei Turchi. The hosts, Pietro and Angela are incredible, caring and attentive to detail. The rooms are clean and there are choices of double and single rooms. The latter room isn't small and has a decent sized living area and a shower room with a washing machine that is ideal for a family. During our stay, Pietro took us to see some local archaeological and ecological landmarks, such as the olive tree that might date back to the times of the Romans. For those who drive and may be using their own transport, this is an ideal location since you get free gated parking. The B&B is located almost at the entrance to Aragona so one can easily drive in and out without having to drive through the centre of town; however, there is a Supermarket around 100 metres away so it's very convenient, a pharmacist is also a short stroll away. Those with young children can take their kids to a nearby play area that's open till late. Good restaurants that won't break the bank in Aragona include the Sperdicchio, Bar Naselli, Bar Europa, Bar Olympia and Maccalube. Places worth a visit include the parish church, Naselli Palace, across the square and many other religious, natural and secular sites.

We had a lovely stay at villa Heaven. The grounds and outside of the villa are stunning. The views are amazing and there is a lovely view. The villa had everything we needed, with washing machine, dishwasher and well stocked with utensils for cooking etc. it was in a very private location, and a loud speaker is provided if you want to play music and chill to the max. You won’t disturb anyone. There is a pool table and table tennis (although the pool cues are worn and only
One table tennis bat) A few points to bare in mind, the villa is located up a steep hill, on a dirt road. A car is pretty much essential and a confident driver if driving at night it can be quite hard until you get used to it, the road is not lit and very dark at night. The bins are located on the main road so you need to take the rubbish in your car to get to a bin which isn’t ideal. There are ants in the property but I’ve found this is always the case in villas in Cyprus, you just need to store food in fridge. Overall it was a great stay very relaxing but I think the road needs to be pointed out as I had children with me and could not imagine what I would of done if I had not been a driver and able to hire a car. Overall it was amazing and I would stay there again. It’s a short drive from stunning beaches, lots of restaurants and bars and reasonably priced considering the size and amenities of the villa. We stayed here in August 2021, - 11 in total. 6 Adults and 5 kids. This villa was absolutely perfect for us, the outside grounds were huge and gorgeous. The kids could play football in the large open grass area. There was plenty on site for the kids to play with, the swimming pool was perfect. All kids raging from aged 5-16 could stand comfortable in the shallow end. The sun loungers were plentiful and comfortable, the outside seating area near the pool was very comfortable and again lots of seating available. The BBQ area was an added bonus to this property with another dining area, complimented by a swing for the kids. The property inside was huge, aircon throughout, including the main living area. There was 4 shower rooms/en-suites and one WC. Lots of beds, I would recommend the owners to upgrade on the beds as they are not the most comfortable. Victoria was the lady that managed the property during our stay. She was absolutely fantastic, anything we felt that needed to be changed or added was done instantly. The service we received whilst on the property was second to none and they done everything they could possible to make us happy. Highly recommend this villa, it was perfect. The pictures do not do this property justice, it is absolutely beautiful.
