Brighton & Hove buses run a frequent service around the city and out to destinations including Shoreham, Eastbourne, Lewes and Tunbridge Wells.
Key features in our new mobile app:
– Buy tickets in the app to use immediately, or save for later. Payments are made securely with your credit or debit card, as well as PayPal.
– See where your bus is in real time
– Buy tickets on the app and gift them to other people – great for helping out your children
– Keep your tickets secure in your app wallet – we can even restore them for you should you ever lose your mobile phone.
Thank you for using our app! With this version, we are taking the app out of Early Access.

Drivers don’t know about this app
I buy 90 day bus tickets because I have to get the bus for work. However B&H buses have made this new app for the 90 day ticket and yet no bus driver knows about it so they question me every time I get on the bus about this app because they don’t know it’s legitimate. Please train your staff about this new app because I can’t be the only one who has to explain this app every single time I get on the bus!!
Hi Jon. Sorry it's taken a while to reply to you. We're really concerned that drivers have not been aware of the new app. We did send a number of briefings out before launch to try and make sure everyone was aware. If you experience issues again in the future, please do not hesitate to contact our customer services team. If we know specific details then we can speak to the individual drivers concerned to check if they need more training. We hope your experience is more positive in the future.
Literally doesn’t work. Took me forever to verify my email address because I got repeated errors. Then I couldn’t add a debit card because I kept getting a message that says ‘braintree failed’ and the app would just freeze on me. Why can’t B&H buses get this right? They charge enough for tickets so should be able to afford an app developer that knows what they’re doing.
Thanks for your review and sorry to hear that you've had challenges using the new app. We pushed it out a little earlier than planned due to some ongoing challenges with our old app which the supplier couldn't guarantee a swift fix for. That does mean there are a few bugs we're still working on, but there will be an update next week to fix many of these, and another update shortly after with some more improvements. Meanwhile, if you'd like further assistance our customer services team will always be more than happy to help
A vast improvement, but...
It is a vast improvement having one unified app with bus tickets, times and a live tracking system. One improvement that could be implemented is the updating of the Google maps interface as it seems outdated. A few bus stops are mislabelled on the app but have correct labels on the latest maps.
Thanks for your review and your useful feedback. We're already on the case with improving the journey planner aspect and are currently working on finding a suitable partner who can make it more accurate for us. Once this is done we'll build improvements in to one of our future updates. Make sure you keep you app up to date so you don't miss out on the improvements when they arrive!
