quick and easy to submit your meter readings, see your bills and make payments – anytime,
Download the app to keep an eye on the energy you’re using and compare it to other customers in
your area to check if you’re on track.
The app also lets you:
• Log in or register for a new account
• Submit your gas and electricity meter readings
• View and pay your energy bill (and download a PDF version)
• Change your Direct Debit payments
• See all your account information (like your tariff, account balance and payment history)
• Monitor how much energy you’ve used with month-by-month graphs
• Book an engineer or your Annual Service visit
• Read your meter in the dark with our built-in torch function.
Business customers don’t need to log in. Just tap ‘Business Customers’ on the home screen.

Compatible with iPhones and will require iOS 8 or later.
This app will ask your permission for a few things, like making calls from your phone (so you can
make emergency calls straight from the app) and using your built-in camera (to use the flash as a
torch so you can read your meter in the dark).
The app won’t process any other personal data. We’ll securely store your information and won’t

Had this app on the phone for a while, after having new boiler fitted, for some reason the app went screwy. Someone in BG,IT section resolved it. Like being able to book service etc online, much more efficient.
As another reviewer mentioned, would be nice if update for iPad, but generally not a bad app, when it works.
Good app, now have hive heating as part of the app so its very helpful, being able to heat the home up before getting in. Also being able to turn down or off the heating when you are not at home.
I still think it would get 5 stars if this able to work better on an ipad. Bit boring having to use the pad in portrait mode to be able to use this app on the ipad is a bit of a bind. But otherwise, goos effort British Gas.
Recently added rewards, have used three of them and think they are a good idea.
Needs re-vamp very slow!
In theory this app is fantastic, top up your meters anywhere see you’re balance anywhere like I say in theory! Reality however is a very different picture! It takes DAYS to up date your balance so if you’re away for a weekend and you check your balance it could say you have plenty of credit but really you may have used that credit up already! Not to mention that it updates (what it updates I have no idea it still just as rubbish) every few days leaving you unable to use the app for a day or two making it in my book totally useless. I’m sorry British Gas sack the dope that made this app go back the drawing board and get an app that is fit for the 21st century
Interface very outdated
It’s a good app and tells you everything you need to know BUT the whole user experience and interface is very out dated and needs modernising.
A big company like BG surely have some money to pay for someone to keep the app updated and looking professional! Currently it looks like an app that was built from day 1 and never updated to utilise today’s technology on smart phones!
Cleaner overall dashboard with finger print/Face ID to log in, display to fit the latest version of the iPhones and a separate app altogether for those using the iPad could be a start.
