quick and easy to submit your meter readings, see your bills and make payments – anytime,

Download the app to keep an eye on the energy you’re using and compare it to other customers in
your area to check if you’re on track.

The app also lets you:

• Log in or register for a new account
• Submit your gas and electricity meter readings
• View and pay your energy bill (and download a PDF version)
• Change your Direct Debit payments
• See all your account information (like your tariff, account balance and payment history)
• Monitor how much energy you’ve used with month-by-month graphs
• Book an engineer or your Annual Service visit
• Read your meter in the dark with our built-in torch function.

Business customers don’t need to log in. Just tap ‘Business Customers’ on the home screen.

Compatible with iPhones and will require iOS 8 or later.

This app will ask your permission for a few things, like making calls from your phone (so you can
make emergency calls straight from the app) and using your built-in camera (to use the flash as a
torch so you can read your meter in the dark).

The app won’t process any other personal data. We’ll securely store your information and won’t

Had this app on the phone for a while, after having new boiler fitted, for some reason the app went screwy. Someone in BG,IT section resolved it. Like being able to book service etc online, much more efficient.
As another reviewer mentioned, would be nice if update for iPad, but generally not a bad app, when it works.
Good app, now have hive heating as part of the app so its very helpful, being able to heat the home up before getting in. Also being able to turn down or off the heating when you are not at home.
I still think it would get 5 stars if this able to work better on an ipad. Bit boring having to use the pad in portrait mode to be able to use this app on the ipad is a bit of a bind. But otherwise, goos effort British Gas.
Recently added rewards, have used three of them and think they are a good idea.


New duel fuel smart meters

So far so good,
The engineer that done all the work was fantastic, called before he was due to arrive letting me know exactly when he would appear, he was then very polite spoke to my Wee dog then got on with his work in a professional manner, he made sure my TVs and fish tank were unplugged then not long at all it was time to put them back on as job was a good one and all finished. He then took the time running through what was what making sure I understood, tidied up and away he went. Nice, quick and easy all taken care of without any problems, he left a number just in case anything popped up but it's all good. First time topping up using the app and it couldn't be easier. Thank you Scottish gas you made it all pain free 👍🏻


Unreliable and slow

Over the past two years I have had bad experiences with this app. From the app not allowing me to make payments to not opening at all and crashing. The app would not let you make payments on the same card for your separate meters however I believe this has been rectified! It appears improvements have been made recently however it is still quite clunky and not very user friendly.

It would be better if the current balance of the gas and electric metre was available readily on the app. All it shows you is your top up amount the and balance the week before which isn’t helpful if you want to know what you’re current account balance is. You can only view this if you go into the ‘rewards’ section of the app which it took me nearly two years to find out when I was messing around on the app!
