The free app for the movers and shakers in the world of British Street Food.It showcases the best street food in the country.
It’s all co-ordinated by Richard Johnson, the respected journalist and founder of the British Street Food Awards. Richard is the author of the best-selling book Street Food Revolution, and writes a street food column in The Guardian (when he's not broadcasting for the British Broadcasting Corporation from street food hotspots round the world). The news and reviews on the app come direct from the team behind the hugely successful British Street Food Awards, hosted last year at Jamie Oliver's fifteen.
For punters -- the app is packed with revolutionary features including live GPS maps showing who is trading where and when. The information can be updated daily (by traders checking in) so that it will be as topical as possible. It details all the top traders in Britain, and their daily specials – with special in-app offers. But it will also carry details of the hottest new traders hitting the streets. And it encourages everyone to photograph, rate and review their food.
For traders - it's a free app for any trader to use. Whether you’re selling pies from a trestle table, or pizzas out of a vintage truck, you’ll want to be on this app. You can upload all your pitch details. The public will rate you and, maybe, get you into the British Street Food Top 10. Plus it will bring you to the attention of the judges when it’s time to select the finalists for the British Street Food Awards.
Other app highlights include a ‘Favourites’ section for users, with regular news and feature updates from the website, and a free subscription to the seasonal newsletter from British Street Food. Users will be able to recommend undiscovered traders to the British Street Food team, and link their comments into all the excitement about street food that’s bouncing round on twitter and Facebook. Join the street food revolution!

What's New in Version 1.6
iOS 8 Compatibility and bug fixes.
definite improvement on version 1.0.1
I downloaded this app when it first came out and have only just started using it again. Lots of the glitches have been ironed out. Some of the things I found tricky at first I’ve got used to or they’ve been updated. It’s the only real way to find street food in London other than turning up and taking pot luck. Nice!
Hungry for more…
This app is back singing and dancing. A bug developed in a previous version that stopped the map from loading or rendering properly but that seems to have been fixed now.
Having used the app in recent weeks, its been pleasure discovering new traders I’d never heard of.
Keep it going and if your a trader reading this get your details on there asap and kept up-to-date.
I love seeing those green ’trading today' pins.
Easy to use. Loved the fact I could find out where my nearest street food vendors are and what they are selling. Had a really great burger because of it. Will be using alot.
