Absolute genius of a game. I adore it. I grew up playing the first Broken Sword on the PlayStation One, fell in love with the game, the characters, the point and click format and found myself itching for more releases and buying Broken Sword 2-4 and they were released and was overjoyed when the 5th one came out. I own this game on PC, PlayStation, and now I have it at my fingertips on my iPhone.
With many puzzles to solve murders and conspiracies, tools from your inventory to get to out of sticky situations, the control to speak to absolutely anybody on the game and ask them whatever you wish... George Stobbart and Nicole Collard's life is in your hands. Thoroughly recommended for people who enjoy adventure games or detective solving games.
Like to finish by saying Charles Cecil is a god!
Travel back in time
Broken Sword (BS) is a classic adventure game and this title remains faithful to the original recipe; cartoonish environment, imaginative puzzles and an entertaining story instilled with historical/religious-inspired elements. I very much enjoyed playing this game, which managed to make me travel back in time when I first encountered the first BS title, in the 90s. I hope the creators continue the series without changing the main ingredients that made this game successful. Nowadays, games have become very impressive yet often overly complicated, while the BS is refreshingly simple and enjoyable.
Moreover, I did not encounter any problems playing the game on my phone (iPhone 6S). I totally recommend it to the adventure-game lovers.
One star off for the price, but it was a great game, have played all the games in the series, on various systems, but this was the best, animation great, story great, length of game great, characters great....but as I said at the beginning cost of whole game expensive to say the least, I was hooked with the first part, and so just had to carry on, I'll be very cross if, in the not too distant future, the price comes down...if you don't object to paying for both sections of the game, go for it and enjoy. 😎
