What's New in Version 2.11.2
Picture in picture on supported iPads, quick launch channels using 3D touch on supported iPhones, AirPlay fix, faster image loading, Chromecast improvements with VoD and other small performance improvements.
The UI is not great but I only use this for watching live sport which it used to be fine for. It works on iPad/iPhone but no longer streams by AirPlay to my Apple TV despite an apparent fix in the latest update. I just get a frozen screen shot on my TV. Turn AirPlay off and it works again on iPad/iPhone. Im clearly not the only person with this problem having read most other reviews. It used to be great, come on BT, what have you done to stop this working. I pay £5 a month and considering stopping as only only able watch on small screen now.
Fine, when it works...
I wonder if there's some kind of server capacity issue with this because whenever live football is on (ie the reason for me personally having the app) I always struggle to get in to the app. It just flashes the login in box and then nothing. Sometimes after 5-10 minutes I might get lucky but very annoying. On the positive side if you lo on early before a game it seems to work fine throughout. When it is working the picture and sound are both crisp.
BT spend £££millions to get Premiership rights and then spend a fiver to make an app to watch it. At the moment I am limited to watching football on my iPad mini or sit at my desk and watch it on my PC as it won't stream to Apple TV for more than a few minutes before it fails. They have no alternatives like an app on X-box, native Apple TV or my Samsung and LG tv's. I mean it really is a joke how a TV app doesn't work on a TV and looking at the reviews here I know that everybody is finding the same problem. Typical BT.
